Artist in Residence Carrie Moore 2008
Carrie Moore…. Carrie is a professionalartist and designer who has lived andworkedin Clackamas County for over 24 years. With a strong base in the Graphic Arts, she’s had clients that include Willamette Falls Hospital Foundation, Clackamas County, Clackamas Community College Foundation, METRO, PGE and others. She has designed logos for area dentists, business owners, local schools, and created site design for events and fundraisers. Her passion forart and herlove of sharing with kidshas led herinto the classroom working with K-8 students, teaching her unique residency. A graduate of Marylhurst University,Carrie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies withher areas offocus infine art and communications. She resides in OregonCity with herhusband Jeff, and has two daughters whoboth attend college. She is passionate about the out-of-doors, and those connections with nature serve as inspiration for much of her fine art pastel drawings and print work. Her block prints are represented by Print Arts Northwest in Portland, Oregon. She has most recently been invited onto the roster of Young Audiences as a visual artist/educator beginning in July ‘09.
About her Artist Residencies in Schools…“create, discover, believe, share…” Carrie’s mission is to share her passionfor art with kids from kindergarten through 8th grade, by focusingon the Elements of Design and how they relate to the world around us. Byapplying her uniqueteaching process and encouraging creativity, she celebratesstudents artwork through presentation as public art.
