Kaaren Pixton has led students through the creation of more than 90 permanent installations in the Portland metro area. She works comfortably with a variety of materials including clay, paint, mosaic, fused glass, recycled metal sculpture and painted paper collage. An award-winning artist and published illustrator of children’s books, Kaaren has been with Young Audiences since 1996 and is a coach in the artist peer-mentoring program.
