6th Grade Math 2018-19

Welcome to Spring Term! We will cover two major concepts this term - one is similarity and the other is operations with negative numbers. The books we will use from the Connected Math 2 curriculum will be Stretching and Shrinking and Accentuate the Negative. During each lesson, there will be a warm-up time ( a review of fundamental math skills, math fact practice for those who need it, etc.), a lesson, and time to ask questions and start homework (given every night Monday through Thursday). Problem solving continues as we apply all we have learned this year to an Independent Project math problem that helps each student answer a question about their IP topic of choice. This will be displayed on IP Night, June 11th, with all of their other work!
