Course Description

Physical Education at TRCS strives to be engaging, exciting, and educational. We build our P.E. units around athletic and interpersonal skills. While we do not have a dedicated space for P.E., in Fall Term we try to take advantage of the rugby field as much as possible. This term, our September P.E. unit is all about Wiffle Ball. We’ve modified it so that a whole family (of 10-12 students) can play against another family. Some of our students have taken an interest in learning how to play it with just two players as was originally intended. In October, our students will learn to play touch rugby from our friends at Oregon Sports Union Rugby (ORSU Rugby). This will be our third year partnering with ORSU and we are excited to be able to provide our students with this unique experience. If a student needs to miss P.E. because of an injury, we kindly ask for a doctor’s note (or a physical therapist’s note). P.E. at Three Rivers is a Pass/No Pass class with an effort grade and not participating in P.E. without a note from a medical professional could affect the end effort grade.
